Well, my news isn’t as cool as Mary’s (cheers!), but a collection of my old-and-out-of-print short stories has been formatted by the estimable Bill Gill and should be up on my website (see below) as soon as Hal can get them properly loaded. Title: _Stories You Never Heard Of._
I dreamt last night that I sent my novel (novella) out for review and was surprised to get back word the very next day that they had published it—along with a check for $20,000. Talk about fantasy!
The audiobook of _Salamander_, my second novel, has just been released by Audible. It’s the first of my audiobooks read by someone other than me, and I think the narrator did a better job than I could have.
Getting back to my novel-in-progress, I just realized that what’s been stalling me is a “council scene” of the sort OGH has grumped about so much. My previous council scenes have been more crowded (due to my use of couples as characters) but they’ve all been allies reviewing events and discussing tactics as they worked together toward a common goal. What I’ve got now is three mostly-allies (on Team Villain) who are negotiating “I’ll help you with *this* if you help me with *that.*
