I am sorry to have to let everyone know that Dorothy Heydt, a good friend and one of our regular author-contributors in the comments, has passed away.

I don’t have much in the way of details, but Seanan McGuire, who is a close friend of the family, posted a tribute on Twitter: https://twitter.com/seananmcguire/status/1541996445238120448

I have know Dorothy, and appreciated her books, for about thirty years online; we met face-to-face for the first time at the Clockwork Alchemy convention this past March. I feel grateful that I had that chance, especially since it so nearly didn’t happen due to the pandemic. I will miss her.
